Instructions for installing the Team Sass & edm1.auksnest.ca Root CA Certificate

Browsers

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Download the Team Sass Root CA Certificate (or the edm1.auksnest.ca Root CA Certificate) if you have not already done so
  2. From the Firefox menu, select "Options"
  3. In the "Find in Options" search box, type in cert
  4. Select "View Certificates"
  5. Select the "Authorities" tab
  6. Select "Import..."
  7. In the dialogue that appears, go to your Downloads folder, select the file you just downloaded and click "Open"
  8. In the dialogue that appears, select "Trust this CA to identify websites." and "Trust this CA to identify email users.", then click "OK"

Operating Systems

Android

  1. Download the Team Sass Root CA Certificate (or the edm1.auksnest.ca Root CA Certificate)
  2. Open your phone's Settings
  3. In the "Search settings" bar type cert and select "Install from storage"
  4. Select "Install from storage", browse to the "Downloads" folder
  5. Select "edm1.auksnest.ca_Root_Certification_Authority.der.crt"
  6. Re-enter your PIN
  7. Enter a certificate name (optional) and tap "OK"

Mozilla Firefox (Beta/Nightly) for Android
  1. Open the Firefox app
  2. Type "about:config" into the address bar
  3. Type "enterprise" into the about:config page's search bar
  4. Select "security.enterprise_roots.enabled", then press the "Toggle" button so that the entry's "false" is replaced by "true"

Linux

  1. Download the Team Sass Root CA Certificate (or the edm1.auksnest.ca Root CA Certificate) if you have not already done so
  2. Create a new directory for the cert inside "/usr/local/share/ca-certificates/"
  3. Move the downloaded file into the newly-created directory
  4. Updated the certificate store with sudo update-ca-certificates

Windows

  1. Download the Team Sass Root CA Certificate (or the edm1.auksnest.ca Root CA Certificate) if you have not already done so
  2. Open your Downloads folder
  3. Right-click on the file you just downloaded and select "Install certificate"
  4. On the "Open File - Security Warning" prompt that appears click on "Open"
  5. In the "Certificate Import Wizard" that appears select "Local Machine", then click "Next"
  6. In the "User Account Control" prompt that appears, click on "Yes"
  7. Select "Place all certificates in the following store" then click "Browse"
  8. Select "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" and click "OK"
  9. Click "Next"
  10. Click "Finish"
